If you agree with David Bell and many other organisations and individuals from Baden Powell through Chris Bonnington, HRH Prince Philip, to Bear Grylls, then the Brecon Forest Farmhouse is a superb place to put action in to words.

From Keystage Stage One to Sixth form;

From tenderfoot to Explorer Belt;

From Duke of Edinburgh Bronze to Gold,

the Farmhouse can provide a successful training and assessment base for outdoor expeditions on foot or on water.

Directly from the Farmhouse door, woodland trails lead to open moorland providing an extensive area for field study and expedition training. Beyond this area, the countryside becomes more remote and challenging, offering the opportunity for more advanced adventure.

Nearby, the rivers Wye and Usk are available for canoeists of all abilities.

The farmhouse is an excellent base for expeditions

Expeditions, both at school and on residential courses, enable pupils to enjoy challenging and unfamiliar experiences that test and develop their physical, social and personal skills.’

Previous clients comment about our accommodation:

The accommodation at the Brecon Forest Farmhouse has proved to be an excellent base for our annual golf break in Wales. The size of the building provides us with plenty of sleeping space and when not eating out, we make full use of the large barbecue. Our pre-golf, full English breakfasts are easily prepared on the extensive ranges in the kitchen.

Golf courses in the area are quite outstanding, green fees are very reasonable and we are always made most welcome.

The 18th hole at Llandrindod Wells is an experience never to be forgotten and all local courses offer outstanding views of the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains or Radnorshire hills.

Our three day break always proves to be exceptional value and I would recommend this to other groups of golfers.
